1 Choose an amount and check the basics
Start with the cost you need to cover, up to $5,000. You should be at least 18, live in a supported U.S. state, have an active checking account and receive stable income of at least $1,000 a month. Lenders can have additional requirements.
Check the list of supported U.S. states before going further. Meeting the basic requirements does not guarantee an offer.
2 Complete the online request
When requests open, a security check will come before the online request form. Complete the request there, including the details needed to assess eligibility. A lender may ask for evidence of income or other verification.
Read the privacy, contact-consent and credit-authorization notices before submitting. A soft inquiry does not affect your credit score, but a lender may use a hard inquiry that can. Do not send application documents, Social Security numbers or bank details through our contact page.
3 Review any lender offer
If a lender makes an offer, check these details before signing:
- The amount deposited after any deducted fees
- The APR, interest charges and any other fees
- The payment amount, frequency, first due date and total repayment
- Rules for early repayment, late payments, renewal and collection
You can decline if the offer does not work for you. Use our example of borrowing costs to see why a monthly payment is only part of the picture.
4 Sign only if the terms fit
If you choose to proceed, sign the lender’s agreement and complete any remaining verification. Funds may arrive the same business day in some cases; one or two business days or longer is also possible. The lender and your bank determine the actual timing.
Keep the agreement and the lender’s contact details. The lender handles payments, balances and loan-account questions. Just Borrow cannot change a repayment schedule or approve a loan.
What if there is no offer?
A request may return no offer. Consider whether a smaller expense, payment arrangement or another source of help would solve the need without a new loan. Repeated requests do not guarantee a different decision.
